Sigmund Freud

I came across Sigmund Freud's theories during the class of literary criticism. His theories are mostly based on sexual characteristics which i disagree most of them. Among them are Oedipus Complex, Castration Complex and Electra Complex. He stated that a male child is prevented from having incestuos desires for his mother by the fear of castration by his father. I think this theory is less applicable to normal human being  It is illogical and ridiculous too. His theories made my class a bit dull today as I am not interested at all.

  1. I like Sigmund Freud okay? XD I agree partially on some of his theories and ideas. Maybe it is hard to accept. But not all of the theory is ridiculous. People's behavior nowadays are more ridiculous and that is why there are all kinds of theories to explain all the human psychology. Read more on that topic and you will find some of it is really cool.^^
