Sick

Gastric hits me again=(
I had been thrown up twice since last night.
Just felt like something get stuck somewhere in my stomach which nauseated me for the whole day.
I was diagnosed with indigestion after consulting a doctor.
He strongly discourages people from binge eating such as buffet and steamboat as these eating habit will promote indigestion. This is really true.
I lose appetite after vomiting a few times. I could only manage to eat a little.
I was so sluggish as if lying on the bed was the best option for me.
In the following weeks, I must keep tabs on my diet as I do not wish to fall sick again.

Shopping with mum

Happy Deepavali ! Especially to all my Indian friends and teachers.
I went to shopping with mom as today is her day off. We did not buy much thing actually.
Just grab a few necessities.
Huh...I have completed my plan earlier than I have expected.
That is finish my assignment and revision by the end of this week.
Now that I have accomplished my plan, what should I do next?
Should have brought more books to read. Haiz...I am being too judgemental.

A satisfied meal

Dined out at a Chinese restaurant as an early birthday celebration for my brother.
Have been mouth-watering ever since knew that we will have sea cucumber today.
Other than that, my father has ordered a spicy mayonise style lamb, vegetable and big prawns.
The big prawns are longer than my palm with roe inside.
This temptation is really irresistable. My brother even mentioned that he would rather have the prawns than having a birthday cake.
At the end,our stomach were full to the brim and at the same time we burned a hole in my father's wallet=p

Scorching sun

It was so unbearable to have taekwondo training under the scorching sun for three hours!!
I was soaked in sweat right after ten minutes. Had a thought to quit...I can't do it=((
A big no no to me if this suggestion is to come again next time.
Soon I was uplifted whenever time to reach my home become nearer and nearer.
There will be no training for the next three weeks! Hooray!!

Little chef

Cooking mood is on. Thus, I prepared lunch for myself and my best friends too.
We had a very satisying meal as four dishes ended up in our stomach.
Indeed this is the first time i cook for my friends. Not bad. Hehe...
Various dishes popped up my mind when i was cooking.
Can't wait to cook them all at once! Greedy am I? =p

A touching movie

I caught an Indian movie during 3P class. It is about a nine year old boy with dyslexia problem, a condition of facing difficulties in writing and reading but without affecting his intelligence.
Yet his father sent him to a boarding school as he obstinately thought that those are only his lame excuses.
Such a pity and sorrowful boy=(
Luckily his saviour, Nikumb guides him back to a normal life.
In fact, this movie reflects the current situation of dyslexic children in Malaysia too.
Prompt action needs to be done to handle their problem effectively. I am sure most of them are being alienated in the society=(
After class,I was still unable to leave due to the heavy rain. The weather of Tanjung Malim is so unpredictable.

Meeting

Just returned from the annual general meeting of the Chinese Club.
A big congratulations to my friends who are elected as new session committees.
Lucky or not I'm not selected. I think I should consider it as lucky=p
Wish the Chinese Club will flourish in this semester with the lead of new committees.

Stress

Have been anticipating the EC 2 class nervously since morning. Will it be my turn to make presentation today?
Or the following week? If I was to present today, better still as my burden will be eased.
However, I felt that I did not prepare well. I have mixed feelings soon after.
In the end, our group has done it. Hu...such a relief!
At least I don't have to carry my nervousness to next week.
Moreover, class for next week is off! Hehe...

Drive all the way

Finally experienced driving in Tanjung Malim as I rent a kancil with two of my friends.
Hoo...felt excited to drive again! I was the driver most of the time as I was more skilful in driving a manual car.
We went to TF supermarket, Billion and Bah Kut Teh food stall.
Unexpectedly, we have bought a set of Punjabi  suit each. Hehe...they were enticed by me actually=p
It is the most enjoyable weekend by far this semester. Looking forward to next outing^^

Taekwondo again zzzzzz

It's Saturday again. The day I dread the most due to taekwondo training.
Good news comes in the end ! Unexpectedly, taekwondo training for 29 October is cancelled! Hooray!!
I am on cloud nine with a week holiday straight. It won't be a problem for me for 3 hours training in the following weeks as replacement. As long as I could have a longer holiday.Hehe....
After the tiring training, I had a group discussion in library. Thank God it is a fruitful one.
I finished my dinner at my best friend's house. Appreciate her effort and sincerity though her cooking is less appealing, still need to be further improved.

Inspirational quotes

Recently I have a liking for quotes ever since I went through one of the quotes of Steve Jobs.
Dr Maizaitulliza, my SLA lecturer, inspires me again with her quote that goes like, '"A doctor will bury his mistakes, while a lawyer will hang his blunders, but a teacher will see his mistakes walking around."
So true right? This reminds me that being a teacher is a highly responsible job.
Teachers must make sure their competence are always up to par in order to educate students effectively.
I certainly don't wish that my students carry their mistakes throughout their life. And therefore, I must be a good teacher!

I'm blown up!

Something happened just now which really getting on my nerve. Shit!!!
A small matter can actually be transformed into such an irreparable ending. Why why why? Can someone tell me?
I am much appeased now. I should be more optimistic!
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't let the noise of other opinions drawn out your inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become." Such as one of the quote of Steve Jobs which i should always bear in mind. Be strong!

Revision

Started my revision for phonetics today as there will be a quiz next week.I had been uttering different phonemes, almost tongue-tied. It takes time to utilise phonemes well in transcription. As saying goes practice make perfect. I should drill myself with phonetics' exercise daily if possible.

Assignments

I am bombarded with lots of assignments within a day. Immediately I could feel loads of commitment being shouldered on me.
Oh my god!!! The assignments are from different subjects and all of them must be submitted latest by next month. As holidays are approaching, I have to work hard now so that I can enjoy my holidays the fullest.
My first group discussion started just now in library. It is about second language acquisition.
Blessed me for the following assignments.

Moday blue

Whenever it is Monday, my mood will be a little bit down. Suppose it should be a new beginning of the week.
I was informed that my literary criticism class has been cancelled for this week after boarded bus for a while. Luckily the bus still hadn't move and so I quickly alighted from the bus. Sounds great too! I could spend my time to read Hard Times and hope can finish it by tomorrow.
Finally I was selected for public speaking. I was disappointed of my performance as I couldn't speak fluently and tend to speak by remembering the notes that I have prepared earlier. I just can't speak naturally and interact with the audience. What I could do was just meeting the eyes of my trusted friends. Sorry for ignoring the others. I will try to rectify my problems. Hopefully I can gear up my speaking skills soon.

a fruitful day

Cook mood is on today...be an apprentice of the master of cook. Together with my friend, we planned to cook a dessert with sweet potatoes and sago. Ingredients needed are sweet potatoes, sago, ginger, water and sugar. It is a very simple dessert to be prepared. I would manage to cook by myself next time after learnt from my friend.  It tasted really nice! Yummy!! Savoured each mouthful for my high tea dessert. Hehe....
At night, I went to my seniors' house to prepare dinner with them. We have seaweed soup with fishballs, hotdogs, eggs and long beans as our meal. Laughter pervaded the whole house as we burst into laughter when chatting while enjoying our food. Wow, my cooking skills is practized much today and I like it! Guess that I must engross myself more in kitchen. Such a fruitful day^^

Exhausted

Thinking that 3 hours of taekwondo training is waiting me, I was a bit unwilling to get out of my bed this morning. Arghhh!! My mood switched off instantly. Honestly, my interest towards taekwondo is fading day by day ever since last semester. Training each week is a nightmare to me=( Time past extremey slow during training.
I was dead tired today. My instructor insists every motion to be done perfectly which is testing my endurance and ability. I need a good rest to recharge myself.

A wasted morning

Hopping out of the bed earlier than usual although there was a big gap to my class. I was heading to my course photo-taking session at 830 am. I was a bit late actually as it was already 845am when i reached the shooting place. Seeing my best friend waiting alone there, I was a bit surprised. How strange for both of us waiting aimlessly early in the morning! Where were the others as expected? In the end, there were only eight of us altogether which can't even make up the minumum shooting number of fifteen. It was so disappointing and frustrating! We did not expect much to show up but at least those who have promised in facebook. I feel sorry especially to Ayuni, the one who initiated this activity. Do appreciate your effort although it did not work out eventually. Haiz, a lovely morning ended up just like that :(

Stay away from me fEvEr!

Felt like having fever soon. Sluggishness and body soreness have been haunting me for the whole day. Immediately I hop out of my bed when my friend asked me to hit the gymnasium. Nothing better than soaking myself wet while feeling refreshing. A few Malay girls joined us for badminton although we do not know each other but just to make up the number. High perspiration energizes me and chases away fever. Mission accomplished! hehe XD  This makes me strongly believe that exercise is one of the best medicine for mild diseases. I must hook up with squash, badminton and yoga regularly to have a clean bill of health which will directly enhance my study performance. To tell the truth, I am still at the baby steps of playing squash. Wish to brush up my skill further so that I can play with my friend one day.
Health comes first before anything! Stay healthy everyone^o^

Oops...wrong pronunciation!

Now only I realised that I have pronounced frequently used words during phonetic class. Oops, I have pronounced those words wrongly for years! For example, auto should be pronounced as (oh-toll), tomato as (to-mah-to) and banana (ber-na-na). After few weeks of tutorial session, I still have difficulties of recognising phonetic symbols and transcribe alphabets into phonetic symbols and vice versa. I think I have to study much harder to improve my pronunciation. Phonetic class is so much fun! I am deeply in love with it now.

Flu attack

Once again the same problem strikes me again. I am attacked by flu again. Being an easy target of flu virus, I will be sneezing incessantly when exposed to allergens like dust, pollens and smoke. Even now I am sneezing while updating my blog. The root of the problem is still unknown, what I could remember is my nose started to feel itchy during the English Communication class. I kept on scratching my nose which maybe the only possible reason to trigger the annoying disease. I was actually dozed off while reading just now. Guess I should take a good rest now. Good night!

Tiring journey

Haiz...finally I come back to Tanjung Malim again. Time flies. I miss my family so much.=(
It took me almost half day from Ipoh to Tanjung Malim. Can u believe it? Thanks to the malfunctioning of traffic lights at one of the busiest road in Ipoh. All the vehicles are stuck in the middle of road, bumper to bumper with no one bothered to give their way. Oh my god! It delayed my journey for an hour. What fussed me the most was a lot of passengers requested to stop at any place they like, directly affecting my reaching time. I boarded bus at 230 pm but only reached at 6pm. I am dead tired today.

Lovely weekend

Happy Birthday to my sister! She turns 19 years old officially today. Due to her big day, we dined at Secret Garden, a high-class restaurant and also a pub  in town. The paintings, decoration and design of the building create a relaxing ambience to the customers which makes it a perfect place to dine out. Other than that, a gramophone and old-style radio are placed right at the centre of the restaurant which made us feel that we were having meal at ancient time. We had a small bite of each meal, savouring every mouthful. I ordered smoked duck with beetroot crust, a very wise choice indeed. It was finger-licking good! Strongly recommend it!
After that, we went to Tow Bow Keong, a temple which is celebrating The Nine Emperor's God festival. We pushed our way through the throng and hardly able to squeeze ourselves to the altar. We bought Chinese pao (so-called turtle pao) , a must buy item at the temple before we made our way home.

Home sweet home

Back to hometown again. I took ETS with friends from Tanjung Malim but it was delayed by 15 minutes. Never mind as I was overwhelmed by the delight of meeting my family again. Coincidentally, my brother took the same train too but we had different seat. He departed from Nilai as he is studying in Nilai Inti University College.
It is such a happy reunion with my sister's return also. Nothing better than lying on the couch while cherishing  moment with my family. Home sweet home ^^ Friends, enjoy your weekend too!
